Are you being recorded with a RING door bell or other outdoor recording device?
We recently found someone in our complex (Building V) has recorded our conversations on our back patio with their ring device located by their sliding glass door. We know this because they sent a copy of the recording, This is illegal and an invasion of our privacy. RING Door bells etc are to set up to only record the area you are using as your patio or other are directly behind your unit. This could become liability for the AVCAO HOA. I notified them this is happening and to put a notice in the Newsletter. They now know this is a crime and they have decided to ignore it There are already lawsuits happening around the country and Ted Cruz of Texas has just introduced legislation addressing this issue. Please tell anyone who uses (rents, etc.) your unit that their conversations on the back patio might be recorded? First Amendment anybody?
